Positioned in a gorgeous setting on 125 acres of green with stunning views across the valleys, the American Museum and Gardens was opened to the public in 1961 with the ambition to showcase American decorative arts. The estate is composed of a museum, exhibition gallery and gardens where you can step into American history and culture.
The main entrance has level access with a permanent ramp.

Blue badge disabled parking is available in the main car park, a 150-metre step-free walk from the Ticket Office.

By foot
You can access the Museum via the Bath skyline walk.
By bicycle
Access roads to and from the Museum should be used with caution due to road surfaces and lighting. There are railings at the front of the Museum you can use to secure you bike or in the undercover picnic area.
By train
The nearest train station is Bath Spa which is a short stroll from the U1 and U2 bus stop.
By bus
From Bath City Centre take First Bus services U1 or U2 to the University of Bath (services run at a frequent intervals). By car
The turning to the Museum is clearly sign-posted from the A36 and the University of Bath. Free onsite visitor parking, including spaces for Blue Badge holders.
