This year, Bath Literature Festival and Bath Music Festival will run in tandem over nine days, from Saturday 17 May to Sunday 25 May 2025.

Bath Literature Festival celebrates its 30th birthday with an extra-special line-up that includes Ruth Jones, Ben Okri, Carol Klein, Lionel Shriver, Jeremy Vine, David Baddiel, Sayeeda Warsi, Joanne Harris, Martin Clunes, Robert Macfarlane, Rev Richard Coles, Jojo Moyes, Emma Barnett, Max Hastings, Ivo Graham, Alan Johnson, Kit de Waal, Mike Tindall and Reeta Chakrabarti.

Bath Music Festival includes a stellar programme of internationally renowned artists, with classical artists such as The Marian Consort, Stile Antico, Marmen Quartet, cellist Guy Johnston, guitarist Sean Shibe, tenor Ben Johnson, pianist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, Ensemble Moliere, Fibonacci String Quartet, violinist Elena Urioste, flautist Adam Walker, clarinettist Yann Ghiro, pianist Tom Poster and The Chamber Orchestra of the West.

Bath’s favourite night of FREE music, Party in the City returns on Friday 16 May 2025. The evening will feature over 2,000 performers in Bath Abbey, Parade Gardens, and across more than 40 other venues throughout the city. It promises to be a spectacular night filled with live music, vibrant performances, and an electric atmosphere.
