Party in the City application
Party in the City application process is now open! You have until 21 December to apply, see below F.A.Qs for more details.
What happens next?
If you are selected to perform, we will notify you of your venue and time slot via email no later than 31 January 2019. We will then put you in touch with your venue/event manager with whom you can arrange load-ins, tech-specs and all the final details.
Will there be a technician / event manager / crew?
Some of our venues are experienced at hosting live music and have in-house gear and crew. Many of our venues only host live music on Party in the City and do not have the necessary equipment or trained staff to support you. The more willing and able you are to be self-sufficient, the better your chances of being placed in an ideal slot and venue.
Will there be a backline for bands?
In most cases there will not be a backline provided by the venue. We actively promote kit sharing (using own breakables) and etiquette says that headliner usually provides the kit. We will put you in touch with other performers on the night to make the process as easy as possible.
Unfortunately not. Bath Festivals is a registered charity and programmes, produces and promotes the night for free to the general public. As it is free, unfortunately there is no ticket income to cover performer’s costs.
