What is Party in the City?

The city comes alive for a night of free music and entertainment. Featuring hundreds of performances on Friday 17 May from 6pm until late. Enjoy folk, rock, classical, jazz, acoustic, swing and soul – and it’s all for free! Opening the night is Pitch Invasion with a chorus of more than 80 performers taking to Kingston Parade

Where will it happen?

On the night, the festival team programme and produce a variety of events on 3 outdoor stages as well as in Bath’s historic venues, churches and museums. In addition, last year’s event saw 20 commercial live music venues and businesses open their doors for the festival and we are hoping to improve on that this year.

How can I help?

Help us keep Party in the City a free event. This year we’re asking you to please donate just £1 for the handy guide to all the music in the city. We get no local government funding, we’re a charity, so your donation means we can continue to run Party in the City as a free event in the future. Even with the generosity of the venues, bands, our wonderful army of volunteers and the goodwill of all involved Party in the City costs over £20,000 in infrastructure costs, licencing and other ad hoc costs to put on.
