Mabel and Corinne Bailey Rae join Clean Bandit and Van Morrison at The Bath Festival Finale Weekend
Bath Festivals and Orchard Live have revealed more acts for this summer’s Bath Festival Finale Weekend on the Bath Recreation Ground, including Mabel and Corinne Bailey Rae who support headliners chart toppers Clean Bandit and legendary singer songwriter Van Morrison.
Clean Bandit, who have had four Number 1 UK singles and were recently nominated for two Brit awards, headline the Main Stage on Saturday 1 June. Supporting them is rising star, 20-year-old singer Mabel, who was recently short-listed for breakthrough artist at the Brit awards, and Bristol based rapper and actor Raleigh Ritchie, who is also familiar to Game of Thrones fans for his role as Grey Worm. Opening the party on the main stage will be London’s hottest new soul, jazz and R&B singer Jaz Karis.
Topping the bill on Sunday 2 June is Van Morrison, who has been delighting audiences all over the world for five decades and has recently released his 40th studio album, coinciding with a series of shows in the US. He’ll be supported by Corinne Bailey Rae, whose global hits Put Your Records On and Like A Star are great crowd pleasers, Irish rock band Hothouse Flowers and the classic Soul and funk of MF Robots.
This year, on the Big Top stage music fans will be offered an eclectic mix of acts. On Saturday the talent includes: Balcony, who played Boardmasters last summer and push the boundaries of dark pop and future wave R&B, rasping vocals; Little Thief, a three-piece from Bristol reminiscent of The Black Keys and Queens of the Stone Age; and Another Sky, who were invited to perform on BBC 2’s flagship music programme Later with Jools Holland late last year.
On Sunday on the Big Top stage catch: Sheffield based Renegade Brass Band who have established themselves as the country’s premiere hip-hop brass band outfits, The Desert, a Bristol based trip-hop outfit; Michael Clark, an emerging singer/songwriter whose folk output is a masterclass in the power of simplicity; and Tom Speight, a singer/songwriter from London whose work blends elements of folk, contemporary pop and intimate material who has already amassed over 43million combined streams on Spotify alone.
There will be some further announcements re additions to the line-up in the coming weeks.

SATURDAY 1 JUNE
CLEAN BANDIT
Clean Bandit have consistently pushed the boundaries of modern pop with their diverse blend of electronic, dancehall, classical, R&B and pop.
Their breakthrough success came in 2014 with the single Rather Be, feat. Jess Glynne, a Grammy award-winning worldwide hit that has now surpassed 10 million global sales.
In 2016, they released their 10 million-selling single Rockabye feat. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie. Shooting to #1 in more than 40 countries and having spent nine weeks at the top of the charts in the UK, the track became the longest-running UK #1 in 22 years surpassing Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around.
They recently received two BRIT Award nominations for their 2018 smash Solo feat. Demi Lovato, which became their fourth UK number 1. The band have now notched up 9 UK top five singles, more than Bruno Mars or Adele.
MABEL
An effortless storyteller with a pure and unfiltered singing talent and song writing ability, Mabel McVey has an instinctive gift of melody. She burst onto the scene in 2015 with her release Know Me Better and since then the 20-year-old star has gone from strength to strength, most recently nominated for a Brit award.
Mab is the daughter of producer Cameron McVey, best known for his work with Massive Attack, Portishead and All Saints, and singing superstar Neneh Cherry.
RALEIGH RITCHIE
Raleigh Ritchie (real name Jacob Anderson) is an actor, rapper and singer/songwriter from Bristol whose debut album was You’re A Man Now, Boy and whose single Stronger Than Ever also featured on adverts. He’s also got a big following for his role as Grey Worm, leader of the Unsullied in Game of Thrones.
JAZ KARIS
This British singer’s vocals range between soul, jazz and hip-hop, with influences including Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys and Miguel. Jaz says of her style: “It’s not about being inspired by their fame or recognition – I respect these artists who have made music on their own terms and have their own authentic sounds.”
SUNDAY 2 JUNE
VAN MORRISON

In a career that spans five decades Van Morrison has produced classics such as Gloria, Here Comes the Night and Brown Eyed Girl, along with a string of enduring albums. This international music titan has a successful track record on both sides of the Atlantic.
Awards and accolades include a knighthood, a Brit, an OBE, an Ivor Novello, six Grammys, honorary doctorates from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, entry into The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the French Ordres Des Artes Et Des Lettres.
His recently released 40th studio album The Prophet Speaks is out now, and his Bath appearance comes hot on the heels of a series of shows in the US.
CORINNE BAILEY RAE
Yorkshire singer/songwriter/musician Corinne Bailey Rae shot to fame with her self-titled UK debut album featuring international hits Put Your Records On and Like A Star. She has received two Grammy awards, two MOBOS and multiple nominations, including Brit awards.
Her third album, The Heart Speaks in Whispers was declared R&B album of 2016 by The Guardian. Corinne’s gigs in 2018 include the Hollywood Bowl, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Billboard Live in Japan. Corinne will also be performing across the globe again this year with confirmed appearances at Billboard Live in Japan, Newport Jazz Festival and Summerstage in Central Park, New York.
HOTHOUSE FLOWERS
Irish rock group Hothouse Flowers have played the streets and the five-piece band have brought the streets to the stages of the world. They call upon their grand repertoire to create a show that is unique to time and place.
“I take pleasure in facing adversity… I don’t see perfection as something that can be created externally. It is an experience. A connection between listener and player… if you feel the music, they will feel the music.” Says singer and frontman Liam O Maonlai.
MF ROBOTS
Jan Kincaid, the former drummer, songwriter, producer, and founder of the Brand New Heavies met Dawn Joseph, the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, when she started singing for the Heavies in 2013. The pair instantly clicked, and within their first week of working together, they were writing songs. Fast forward to 2019, MF Robots play songs with a classic 70’s soul and funk feel.
