Award-winning author Sarah Crossan joins us to launch her highly original debut adult novel, Hey Zoey, a propulsive story of love, family, and trauma in our tech-buffered age of alienation, as strange as it is familiar. She talks to author and journalist, Alexandra Heminsley.

Sarah Crossan grew up in Dublin and London. Her books for children and teenagers have won many prizes including the CILIP Carnegie Medal, the CBI Book of the Year, the YA Book Prize, and the CLiPPA Poetry Award. Her first novel for adults, Here Is The Beehive, was published in 2020 was shortlisted for Popular Fiction Book of the Year in the AN Post Irish Book Awards Sarah’s novels have been translated into more than 25 languages. She currently lives and works in East Sussex.

 

Alexandra Heminsley is a bestselling author, journalist, broadcaster and speaker. She is the author of both fiction and non-fiction books and her work has included writing Sunday Times Top Ten bestsellers, interviewing names as diverse as Courtney Love, Billie Jean King and Kate Atkinson, and her work has been nominated for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award. She has also written about the incalculable value of LGBT+ families, Valley of the Dolls, and Strictly Come Dancing.She regularly chairs author interviews and panels for bookshop and festival events, and has spoken about her own work at several festivals including Latitude and Greenwich.
