That’s a wrap for The Bath Children’s Literature Festival 2023!

We have had a rip-roaring time over the last ten days with two jam packed weekends and an electric school’s programme sandwiched in the middle.

Here are our highlights 🎉

Rob Biddulph kicked off the festival with his incredible draw-along and hundreds of children practiced their skills. Over the first weekend we took over The Guildhall, The Forum, Bath Cricket Club, The Little Theatre, The Egg, and Bath Central Library. From interactive shows, to craft, to book signings, there was so much going on!

We welcomed Robin Stevens, Stephen and Anita Mangan, Derek Landy, Dr Ranj, Joseph Coelho, and many more to share their stories and inspiration with us.

Our Happiness Hub was also a huge hit with crafts, building, colouring, and sharing our worries!

Throughout the week, we welcomed countless schools to The Guildhall who enjoyed events such as Space Blasters, the hilarious Jenny Pearson, Sam Copeland with his Bear Behind, learning about Empathy in Action, and Katherine Rundell amazed us with Impossible Creatures.

Parents of younger children enjoyed a week full of Julia Donaldson screenings at The Little Theatre and some Library Story times, and we welcomed Mog the cat to the Guildhall!

We ended the festival with a bang this weekend welcoming Cressida Cowell, Stuart Lawrence, Sir Lenny Henry, Holly Jackson and Supertato (who met all his top fans!)

We want to thank all our wonderful volunteers for their help over the week, and we hope you all had a magical time. You can follow us on social media to see all our highlights!

This was a festival to remember, and we will be elated for a long time to come! 🎉
