Can you find all the Words on the Street?
Popping up across the city centre, shining out of shop windows and waving from trees you will find 10 brilliant pieces of writing created by children and young people. Pick up a map from Bath Box Office and see if you can find them all.
If you’ve got the writing bug, come to our Pop-Up Shop in Milsom Place (opposite Carluccios) on Friday 18th May 4-8pm, Saturday 19th or 26th May 10-4pm and put pencil to paper, we’ve got plenty of ideas to get you started. Create a masterpiece on our drawing wall, mix up some words to make a poem, share a story in our cosy book corner or create your own mini book.
Words on the Street is a trail of children’s words, stories and poems, celebrating the work created in the projects delivered as part of Paper Nations. There has been some fantastic work happening in schools across the South West and we have brought that together in a trail that makes children and young people’s words and ideas visible to everyone.
Words on the Street was produced by Bath Festivals Creative Learning Team.
Paper Nations
Paper Nations is a partnership project that celebrates the art of writing. Funded by an Arts Council England strategic grant for Creative Writing in Schools, our 2016-18 programme has involved a series of collaborative creative writing projects with schools and communities across the South West of England.
Led by Bath Spa University’s Creative Writing Faculty in partnership with Bath Festivals and the National Association of Writers in Education, Paper Nations 2016-18 programme brings together the best and most innovative arts organisations, creative writers and educators with a common purpose: a future in which all young people can access regular, high quality support to enjoy and develop a talent for writing.
