Dr. Mya-Rose Craig, also known as Birdgirl, is a British-Bangladeshi naturalist, environmentalist and race activist. In February 2020, she became the youngest British person to be awarded an honorary doctorate in science from Bristol University, in recognition of her years of campaigning for equal access to nature and ethnic diversity in the environmental sector. She is also the Founder and President of Black2Nature.

Mya-Rose’s book We Have a Dream tackles discrimination in the debate over climate change. Indigenous people and people of colour are disproportionately affected by climate change, yet often aren’t heard in global conversations. Mya-Rose spoke to campaigners from around the world about what needs to be done and she will share these manifestos with you and explore how you can support the young people of colour demanding urgent change for the world they will inherit.
