VIDEO: I Have the Right to be a Child
On Wednesday 2 October, in association with the Action For Children’s Art Inspiration Day, we dedicated an event at the Bath Chidren’s Lierature Festival to a discussion on the rights of a child. Our panel discussed exacting questions put to them by children from local schools and member of the audience. David Almond chaired this event and was joined by Sarah Ardizzone (the award-winning translator), Jamila Gavin (author and Action for Children’s Arts Patron) and Don Foster, MP for Bath and a former teacher . The questions were developed with children from St Michael’s Primary School, Twerton and Freshford Primary School.
See below for the video created for the event with the children. It was commissioned by Action for Children’s Arts and supported by Bath Festivals, the egg, 5x5x5=creativity and whitespace.
