Review of I’m A Chicken… Get Me Out Of Here

We just had to share this rather lovely thank you letter from one of the schools who attended the I’m a Chicken… Get me out of Here school event on Wednesday:

Dear Anna Wilson,

Thank you for the lovely, funny and entertaining talk at the Guildhall today.

We loved the way you moved around the stage and did all the acting and voices.

Were you tired after all that? We felt sorry for you when we heard that you couldn’t have any pets when you were little but when we heard about the pets you have now -we fell in love with them.

We are reading ‘I’m a chicken get me out of here’ in our class. We like the dog blowing bubbles and we enjoy the naughty sister (how did you think of her?) We love the silly voices you can do when you read the story out loud!

We feel inspired to become writers after listening to you. We have been making up our own characters in the class room. We have created professors, vampires, teddy bears, hedgehogs, poor girls, lonely mammoths, magic cats, Chinese Ninjas, busy cleaners, wizards, cheeky girls, shy artists, trendy girls, dogs and a big fat troll on our classroom wall.

Now we want to put them into a story!

We hope to see you again
