Friday 30 Sept - Sun 9 Oct 2016

Bath Children’s Literature Festival Saturday 1 October – Sunday 9 October 2016. Our 10th birthday!

General Booking is NOW OPEN. Book online or call Bath Box Office on 01225 463362

We’ve hit double figures. Come along and celebrate our 10th birthday in the only way we know how. This autumn we are bringing to Bath the biggest and best in the world of children’s books. We kick off with David Walliams and have 9 days packed with awesomeness through to the end of our new YA day with headliners Malorie Blackman and Simon Mayo. Of course we have loads for younger readers too. From Lucy Cousins, Emily Gravett and this year’s festival illustrator, the wonderful Nick Sharratt. We have lots of your Cbeebies favourites too. Cerrie Burnell, Sam and Mark and minibeast adventurer, Jess French. We’ve also got events that are out of this world! The incredible astronaut Chris Hadfield brings his tales of space travel to Bath. Clare Balding will be telling you about her great new horse stories. Oh and did I mention that we have Liz Pichon, Michael MorpurgoChris Riddell and Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy as well?

With masterclasses, interactive talks, bug hunts and discussions there are loads of ways to get involved and celebrate books!

As it’s our 10th birthday we’ve also taken the opportunity to invite some of our favourites back that have been there from the start. Illustrator of the Horrible Histories and creator of the first festival red chair, Martin Brown. And prepare to laugh, how could we not ask the hilarious Andy Stanton! It all looks set to be an amazing nine days, the best yet and there are so many of your favourites coming along.  We also wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you. Without your support we wouldn’t be celebrating our tenth birthday so come and help us celebrate in style. We’re very proud of the festival and we hope you are too.

See you all at the festival!

John and Gill McLay
