Join the award-winning and much-loved author, comedian, and actor, Lenny Henry, for a fun-filled event about his brilliant, action-packed middle grade books, The Boy With Wings, The Book of Legends, and his brand new adventure, Clash of the Super Kids. This event takes place at the Guildhall on Saturday 7 October at 4.30pm.

Lenny’s new book sees the return of Tunde Wilkinson, an ordinary boy who happens to also be a winged superhero. When Tunde’s parents take him to a top-secret testing facility, he’s nervous enough about trying to make friends with everyone else but this is the least of his worries, as there’s something much scarier going on…

Join Lenny to find out about Tunde’s impossible mission, chat about super powers, and hear him read. Don’t forget to bring your best jokes as there’ll be a chance to share some with him!

About the Author 

Sir Lenny Henry has risen from being a star on children’s television to becoming one of Britain’s best-known comedians, as well as a writer, philanthropist and award-winning actor. He is co-founder of Comic Relief. Lenny is a strong advocate for diversity, and is the author of Clash of the Super Kids, The Book of Legends, The Boy With Wings, The Boy With Wings: Attack of the Rampaging Robot and the picture book You Can Do Anything, Tyrone! For Lenny, his passion for writing stems from wanting to create the stories that he would have loved to have read as a child, featuring characters like him.
