PARTY IN THE CITY KICKS OFF ON FRIDAY 16 MAY

Gather up your friends, family, neighbours and workmates and enjoy Bath’s biggest evening of FREE live music. Party in the City kicks off on Friday 16 May.

Thousands of music lovers will head to Bath’s city centre on Friday 16 May from 5pm for Party in the City, where the sound of live music will spill out of pubs, clubs, churches, museums and galleries, and into the streets. Some 2,000 singers and musicians will play at 39 venues and it’s completely free to attend – so save the date.

Stay in one place for the duration, or move from venue to venue to enjoy live performances from much-loved local bands through to emerging talent. There is something for every taste, with 16 genres of music on offer. Enjoy everything from acoustic/pop, blues, folk, funk/soul, jazz and blues, and indie/rock through to choral and classical. Hear live music at Komedia, in Parade Gardens, the Guildhall, Bath Abbey, Green Park Station and many other venues around the city.

The fun doesn’t stop on Friday 16 May. New this year is the Festival of Choirs at Green Park Station, on Saturday 17 May from 3pm to 10pm. Another day of free live music with hundreds of singers from 15 choral groups, with your MC for the day, funnyman and Theatre Royal panto star, Jon Monie.

Fusing indie rock melody and attitude with dance rhythm, Reverend And The Makers is the brainchild of Sheffield musician Jon McClure, who recorded the original RATM demos with members of the Arctic Monkeys and Bromheads Jacket.

Party in the City invites you to celebrate the May festival season in Bath with Reverend and the Makers in a Bank Holiday special on Monday 26th at Komedia. Support from The Ramona Flowers and Alex Lipinksi & The Crown Electric. This is a paid, fundraising event.
