F.A.Qs

GENERAL FINALE WEEKEND INFORMATION:

What am I not allowed to bring to the festival? Will I be searched?

For your safety we will be conducting bag checks on entry.   The following items are prohibited:

Fireworks, laser pens, smoke canisters or flares, alcohol, illicit drugs, or legal highs including nitrous oxides, animals (with the exception of assistance dogs), flags/ poles, glass, cans, bicycles or scooters, chairs, cool boxes / picnic hampers, pens or paint, unmanned Aerial Vehicles (aka Drones).  Anything which could be considered an offensive weapon or could cause danger or a nuisance.

Can I bring my dog to the festival?

Only assistance dogs are allowed into the festival. Please advise when purchasing your ticket whether an assistance dog will be coming.

Assistance dogs are specifically trained to assist a disabled person, and which has been qualified by one of the charitable organisations as members of Assistance Dogs UK.

Can I bring a fold up chair or picnic blanket in with me? Do you have any seating?

Please do not bring fold up chairs into the arena, they can cause access routes to become blocked and be problematic in case of emergency. You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket, and there will be some seating around the site to save you from being on your feet all day.

Is there a cash point at the festival?

Yes, there will be cash machines, the cost per transaction is £2.95

Is there a lost child point at the festival?

If you can’t find your child, head to the information point to report it and they will help you to be reunited with your child. There will be stewards at the festival that will be able to point you in the direction of the information point. Likewise, if you find a child at the festival who looks lost, please alert a nearby steward.

What about lost property?

Please report if you’ve lost something to the information point. If you find something that has parted ways with it’s owner, this is the place to take it.

Where do I stay overnight? Can I camp?

There are no camping or other facilities to stay overnight; the festival site will finish when the music does at 11pm each evening. There are many hotels, apartments and Air B&Bs in Bath, but we recommend organising this sooner rather than later as they can become very booked up.

Can I bring my own food and drink to the festival?

Bringing food and drink (including alcohol) into the festival is prohibited, with the exception of a bottle of water, baby food and food for medical requirements, which is fine to bring with you.

There will be water points to fill up your bottle for free.

Are there any other events that are being hosted by Bath Festival?

Yes, there’s a full line up of events in Bath for the Bath Festival in the two weeks before this finale festival. Check our What’s On page to see what’s happening.
