Bach D minor Partita no.2
Bach’s D minor Partita concludes with the famous ‘Chaconne’, regarded as an ultimate test of a violinist’s musicianship and technique. It concludes a remarkable programme which begins with music by Bach’s great rival Telemann and then interleaves short, aphoristic movements by the Hungarian Gyorgy Kurtág with a fascinating set of short 20th century works for solo violin. Kadesha is a charismatic performer and promises something special to conclude our Holburne series.
