Claire Tomalin is more used to telling other people’s stories – famously those of Charles Dickens, Samuel Pepys and Jane Austen. But now the award-winning biographer describes the highs and lows of her own extraordinary life. This event includes performances by tenor James Gilchrist and pianist Anna Tilbrook, of some of Tomalin’s favourite music, including pieces composed by her mother, Muriel Herbert.
