Classical Music Stars of the Future at the festival

There has never been such a crop of brilliant young classical artists as today.  Substantially driven by BBC Young Musician of the Year and BBC New Generation schemes there seems to be no limit to the virtuosity and musical energy on offer.  As part of Bath Festival’s commitment to development of young talent we are presenting 6 hour long concerts by some of the very finest newcomers all under the age of 30.  Horn player Ben Goldschneider was a celebrated BBC Young Musician finalist and has been featured on TV as well as developing a top line career on the continent. Tabea Debus is re-inventing the recorder as a thrilling solo instrument and Isata Kanneh-Mason is following the family line in producing virtuosi.  Benjamin Baker has a concerto career on both sides of the Atlantic and Daniel Lebhardt has performed both at the Wigmore Hall and at the Kennedy Centre.  Perhaps the most established of this remarkable bunch, Pavel Kolesnikov has performed in all the world’s major venues as well as being a graduate of the BBC’s New Generation Artists scheme.  What all of these artists share is an unquenchable desire to enthuse audience with their joy in music-making.
