We are delighted to be able to share the very first newsletter of Bath and Bristol Primary School Libraries. This is a place for children to share art, reviews, poetry, stories, articles and comics inspired by their favourite books. The first Issued! explores Alice in Wonderland and you can see it here: Issue 1 Primary Schools Library Newsletter
In 2012/13 we worked with 5x5x5=creativity and children and teachers at Ubley Primary School to explore a creative curriculum inspired by writing. This work combined the creative writing practice we developed through the Write Team project and the philosophy of 5x5x5=creativity where children are recognised as innate and creative knowledge builders, explorers and co-constructors of their learning.
We delivered INSET for the teachers and creative writer and drama practitioner, Karl Bevis, visited the school on a weekly basis for 3 terms, working with Reception to Year 6. If you would like to find out more about this project and how if might work in your school or setting please contact us.
