I went to #Bathkidslitfest for the first time two years ago, but only for a day. And it was a glorious day full of events and panels, meeting authors and other fellow bookish people, and getting lots of books signed! Not to mention it is a stunning city. So I couldn\u2019t pass up the opportunity to do it all again. This time, I\u2019m attending events on both weekends because there is just too much goodness.<\/p>\n

Saturday 26th<\/sup> September features two big names for me; Patrick Ness<\/strong><\/a>, whose latest book The Rest of Us Just Live Here manages to be both witty and beautiful, and Chris Riddell<\/strong><\/a>, whose event with Michael Rosen promises to be lively and interactive. I\u2019m a big kid at heart and I\u2019m sure this is going to be full of laughter! I\u2019m also excited for the Bath Picks, featuring Sibeal Pounder, Martyn Ford and David Solomon<\/strong><\/a>, who have all released brilliant books this year.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also going to the Bath Picks on Sunday 27th<\/sup>, but this time with Sarah Crossan, Sarah Benwell and Virginia Bergin<\/strong><\/a>. I adore Sarah Crossan\u2019s books so I can\u2019t wait to see her in this panel. Another event that promises lots of giggles is the talk with James Dawson and Hayley Long<\/strong><\/a> as they discuss all things teen, including all the tricky bits!<\/p>\n

An event that I simply could not miss is the Diversity Debate<\/strong><\/a> on Monday 28th, chaired by Lorna Bradbury from The Daily Telegraph and featuring Liz Kessler and Bali Rai. Described as having \u2018no topic off limits\u2019, I\u2019m intrigued as to how this one will turn out.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m back down the following weekend for yet another great lineup. Saturday 3rd<\/sup> October kicks off for me with the lovely Robin Stevens and Elen Caldecott<\/strong><\/a> talking mystery and intrigue. I\u2019m a huge Doctor Who fan so an event about writing Dr Who<\/strong><\/a> (including Frank Cottrell Boyce and A L Kennedy) was a must see for me! I am then over the moon to be meeting one of my childhood superstars, Jacqueline Wilson<\/strong><\/a>, as she talks about her life as her writer. More superstars follow with Philip Reeve and Joe Abercrombie<\/strong><\/a> as they discuss their creative journeys into other worlds. The Bath Picks for this day is another winner, featuring Helena Coggan, Taran Matharu and Catherine Doyle<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The last day of the festival brings a celebration of the work of Michael Foreman<\/strong><\/a> on Sunday 4th<\/sup>. His history as an author and illustrator is just phenomenal. I\u2019m then getting my laughter fix with Julian Clary and David Roberts<\/strong><\/a> as they discuss their latest book, The Bolds. And ending on a high with Sunday\u2019s Bath Picks, featuring Shane Hegarty, Kieran Fanning, Will Mabbit and Linda Davies.<\/p>\n

The Bath Children\u2019s Literature Festival has a stunning line up for 2015, and always features a range of well-loved and debut authors and illustrators, from the serious debates to the interactive and more. It promises to be a stunning two weeks of events and I just can\u2019t wait!<\/p>\n
