Come and join Joseph Coelho for a spookily fun (and at times gruesome!) event as he introduces everyone to Zombierella, Frankenstiltskin, and Creeping Beauty in his world of Fairy Tales Gone Bad – mwahahaha! Children will delight as Joseph brings to life his outrageous characters and their dastardly deeds, and be inspired with the joy and magic of his tales as a poet and a writer. With the help of this master storyteller, children will have the confidence to take on their very own creative challenges and perhaps even become masterful storytellers themselves!

Waterstones Children’s Laureate (2022-2024) Joseph Coelho is an award-winning poet, playwright and writer from London. His first poetry collection, Werewolf Club Rules!, won the CLPE Children’s Poetry Award, and he has been writing and performing ever since. His picture books include If All the World Were… illustrated by Allison Colpoys and Luna Loves Library Day, Luna Loves Art and Luna Loves Dance all illustrated by Fiona Lumbers. His poetry books for children include Overheard in a Tower Block illustrated by Kate Milner and A Year of Nature Poems illustrated by Kelly Louise Judd. The first two books in the Fairy Tales Gone Bad series are Zombierella and Frankenstiltskin. Joseph lives in Folkestone.
