Release your inner artist at Bath Children’s Literature Festival

If you’ve got a little one that’s always doodling, drawing, sketching or scribbling, they’ll love our events with top children’s book illustrators. As well as hearing about the story and characters, there’ll be plenty of interactive drawing and opportunities to create masterpieces too. Cressida Cowell – BOOK TICKETS
The bestselling author-illustrator of the How to Train Your Dragon books is back to launch her new series, The Wizards of Once. Cressida will be giving tips on becoming an author or illustrator, and sharing details of how the How to Train Your Dragon books became films.

Dylan! With Guy Parker-Rees – BOOK TICKETS
Come and hear Guy Parker-Rees introduce Dylan, an exuberant stripy dog, who just loves to play. See Guy draw Dylan and some of his friends, with lots of drawing fun and activities to join in.

Join bestselling author and illustrator Liz Pichon for an interactive Tom Gates event. There’ll be reading and drawing from the books so bring a pencil and paper!

Dinosaurium with Chris Wormell – BOOK TICKETS
Join illustrator and print-maker Chris Wormell as he introduces Dinosaurium, with the opportunity to do some dinosaur drawing.

King Coo with Adam Stower – BOOK TICKETS
Ben Pole is running from his arch-enemy Monty Grabbe, when he discovers a secret wood full of traps, tree houses, Herbert the wombat and King Coo! Find out more about what’s in King Coo’s woods and join in with plenty of live drawing too.

Here Comes Molly Mischief! – BOOK TICKETS
Cheeky, strong-willed Molly is a brand new character from Adam Hargreaves, the author and illustrator best known for the Mr Men and Little Miss series. Adam will talk about his life as an illustrator and his inspiration for his work, with live drawing too.

Drawing Masterclass with Joe Berger – BOOK TICKETS
Feeling creative? Want some top drawing tips from an expert? Join children’s author and ace cartoonist Joe Berger as he introduces The Pudding Problem. In this special masterclass, Joe will teach you how to create stories and craft your own comics.

The One Hunrded and One Dalmatians – BOOK TICKETS
When Missis and Pongo’s darling Dalmatian puppies are stolen, they know just who to suspect… the evil Cruella de Vil! Join Peter Bently and Steven Lenton for a pawsome event of drawing and dastardly villians!
