DIGITAL EVENT: Watch Neil Gaiman and Sam Weller celebrate Ray Bradbury

In 2020, we were so thrilled to present an event at The Big Book Weekend, a three-day virtual festival that brought together the best of events from various cancelled spring arts festivals in the UK, produced in association with BBC Arts and Arts Council England. An amazing 20,000 people joined together to celebrate a shared love of books, conversation and ideas!

Our fantastic Big Book Weekend event (which was due to take place in May 2020) was Ray Bradbury at 100 with Neil Gaiman and Sam Weller. It was an engaging, inspiring conversation and we’re over the moon that we can share the event further.

So go ahead, click the video below and enjoy! The event is free to view but if you’re able to support Bath Festivals with a donation, we’ll be incredibly thankful. You’re helping us survive so that we can continue celebrating music and books together in the future. Donate here

Commemorating the centenary of the birth of legendary fantasy and sci-fi guru Ray Bradbury (Fahrenheit 451,The Martian Chronicles), join two-time Bram Stoker Award-winning Bradbury biographer and writer Sam Weller in a spirited discussion with the one and only global bestseller Neil Gaiman (coming to us live via Skype from the US).They muse on Bradbury’s inestimable influence and enduring popularity.

This event was originally streamed to viewers for free on Saturday 9 May at 12pm at The Big Book Weekend. With thanks to our event sponsor Bath Spa University. If you enjoyed this conversation, check out more digital literature events at the Big Book Weekend
