Introducing… Steve Richards’ Rock n’ Roll Politics

Steve Richards’ Rock n’ Roll Politics has delighted audiences in Edinburgh and up and down the country. This is his first visit to Bath – and we’re thrilled to have him on our programme. He’s with us on March 6 at 8pm.

This is a show Steve has been developing for several years, using his talents as both as comic performer and a lifelong political commentator. He says: “This is a new show. There is much more audience inter-action –  indeed the audience will choose the main topic. There are plenty of laughs and impersonations.”

As featured on BBC Radio 4‘s Steve Richards Stands Up for Politics, an audio diary of the show last summer at the Soho Theatre and Edinburgh Festival, joining Steve on stage: David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Ed Miliband, Tony Blair, Tony Benn, Harold Wilson, Paul McCartney and a host of other characters.

He’s keen to point out that it’s not an anti-politics show. “It’s very pro-politics. It’s not dishing the dirt like they do on Have I Got News For You. It’s pro-politics comedy.”

Hear Steve on BBC Radio 4 for a taste of what to expect and read his fascinating article on his journey from political journalist to stand-up comedian.
