Astronaut Colonel Chris Hadfield launches his new picture book, The Darkest Dark, at The Bath Children’s Literature Festival. As a child, Chris was keen to become an astronaut, but really wasn’t sure what he felt about night time and being in the dark. In this unique event for families, Chris will talk about how he overcame his fears to eventually become Commander of the International Space Station, from where he entertained and educated us all with his regular news and amazing photographs of Earth – and his spine-tingling zero-gravity rendition of David Bowie’s Space Oddity. With the right start, you really can make your wildest dreams come true.
