Kids Big Bath Read workshops with Hannah Sackett

Last week, we had our first Kids Big Bath Read workshop with Hannah Sackett at Midsomer Norton Library. We set out on a fearless expedition of Ghastly-Gorm Hall, armed with nothing more than pens and pencils. Just like Emily Cabbage, our intrepid explorers drew all the monsters and creatures they met along the way. See our gallery below for a selection of the bizarre characters they encountered.

We have two more Kids Big Bath Read workshops taking place before the Festival, one in Radstock and one in Keynsham. Click on the links below for more information. Tickets have to be bought directly from the respective library. For any questions, please call 01225 394041. Please note: Children under 12 must beaccompanied by an adult.

These special Goth Girl workshops will allow families to explore the world of the book. Don’t miss the chance to make up your own monster, or design new buildings and gardens for Ghastly-Gorm Hall. Find out about the myths and stories that inspired Chris Riddell, and help us uncover further adventures of Ishmael Whiskers the mouse!

Join our Kids Big Bath Read this summer and enter Ada’s wonderfully weird and gothic world! Copies of the book will be available at Bath Central Library, as well as Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Keynsham Libraries. Don’t miss out on meeting Chris Riddell at the Festival, on Saturday 4 October, where he will talk about the second book in the Goth Girl series, Goth Girl and the Fete Worse than Death.
