Bath Preservation Trust

The purposes of the Trust are:

  • to encourage and support the conservation, evolution and enhancement of Bath and its environs within a framework appropriate both to its historic setting and its sustainable future;
  • and to provide educational resources which focus on the architectural and historic importance of the city.
The museums of Bath Preservation Trust provide exciting educational experiences for schools, families and students that bring history to life. Handling collections and authentic period costumes are available at the museums. We offer a range of workshops for schools and teachers are invited to make a free preliminary visit (please call in advance). All the museums offer excellent learning opportunities for secondary and tertiary students with the option of guided tours and talks. We run a full programme of lectures and study days throughout the year across
our museums.
